Many Classic salmon patterns call for this item (especially Kelson's patterns).  Not the same as the mallard flank you'd find in most fly shops, this feather is very thick and webby, and marries with other waterfowl flank.   There are only a few of these feathers on each drake mallard, and I hand select each one. Per 8 pair.
